Our Story

CHALK & JAGGER WAS BORN WITH SKINNED KNEES AND A LEATHER JACKET.

Chalk & Jagger began with a simple obsession: socks that weren’t just worn, but noticed. Founder Herman le Roux had a long-standing admiration for the bold, over-the-knee silhouettes of late-century rugby socks - pieces packed with character, nostalgia, and unapologetic personality. But instead of recreating them for the field, he imagined them reborn for the runway.

So he took the heritage shape, kept the iconic cotton tie, and preserved the original fabrication down to the stitch - an exact replica - then pushed everything else into the world of high fashion, where individuality leads and subtle rebellion is always in style.

That mix of old-school charm and modern attitude became the signature Chalk & Jagger language: cheeky, luxe, and proudly unlike anything else in the wardrobe.

Today, each pair is crafted with the kind of precision and personality that makes getting dressed feel a little more expressive. A little more elevated. A little more you.

Because at Chalk & Jagger, socks aren’t an afterthought, they’re the full-stop with attitude.
